The Cardigan With The Long Flow

Read Article →
My shirt (not pictured) and cardigan from Asos came in a couple days ago and I took some pictures with the cardigan, which I immediately put on as it was just phenomenal.

The cardigan is superb in the fact that its so long and flowy. Its lightweight and sheer-esque so when the wind blows I feel everything, which I absolutely adore. Its a cute color and just all around super fun. I wore it with a shirt I thrifted, black Levi's, my Marc Jacobs Zipper Necklace, and some sneakers. I thought they (the sneakers) added another level of play and casual to the outfit.

Sorry I didnt really feature the cardigan like I would have liked, but i'll address it in another post, along with the dope ass shirt.

These are pictures I took of my outfit on Friday before I left for Atlanta. I was in a playful mood, and i'm always into colors,  so I took my favorite cutoff plaid button up and buttoned it around my waist. I like the outcome of it and flowed so well with the day and didn't drag me down by making me feel like i'm carrying an extra 5 lbs like I thought it would.

Quite frankly I see my casket being color blocked. I don't know, however, if that will be to my dismay or approval yet.

Triology.

Read Article →
This past weekend I went back home to Atlanta with my best friend to get her braces removed and escape from my mundane existence in Statesboro. My other best friend stays in Atlanta, so when we got back we immediately got together and the trio was revived.

I love those two with all my heart and out of al the people I know, I can say our compatibility is unmeasurable. The whole weekend was filled with laughs, food, and quality time. We had heart to hearts and multiple naps and such. I really didn't take many pictures (actually i hardly took any) as i really wanted to focus on bonding with my loves and enjoy the city. The Weather was fuming fantastic and everything worked out perfect, especially time wise which is unheard of with us (aka the off time crew).

Im glad to have tagged along for the trip, and I needed it to release steam and replenish my reserves of inspiration and energy. I miss Atlanta so and my heart is heavy when I'm not there. Im a sucker for the homesick feeling, I know. If you don't miss home, though, what can you long for?

Standing Declaration Of Color.

When I'm suppose to take naps between class or do my homework, I'm busy taking pictures and thinking of outfits. My priorities are torn.

Its been raining for the past two days and I'm sure that there's rain coming until at least friday. I'll be in Atlanta, so for sure I know that cold weather is what I have to look forward to this weekend. Im obsessing over what to pack for this weekend even though i'll just end up with 2 suitcases full of shit, for a 2 day trip, but I digress. Today's outfit was inspired by the color infected trend that was all over NYFW and my longing to be there. Wearing it to a 9 am class in this dreary weather surely woke my classmates up and got their attention, but I'm sure-- they should be use to this, outfits like these are normal for me. The shock factor should be way over.

I wore my Topman Wood Striped Cardigan, Urban Outfitters Shirt and Socks, Aldo Boots, beautiful ring I picked up from a thrift store literally at the entrance of my apartments, and this beautiful ceramic/clay necklace that my grandmother got from Nigeria.

Triangle Party.

Read Article →
Another day of bipolar weather in Statesboro. This morning was very brisk so I naturally assumed that the rest of the day would be cool. I threw on my Oscar De La Renta Olive Cardigan and vintage bag, Jeans I got from seemingly nowhere (I probably stole them from a friend or something), and Urban Outfitters shirt/shoes, paired with this really cute triangle shaped necklace I got from Atlanta. It looks like it could be a extremely monotonously put together. It looks like an expensive piece mainly. I absolutely adore it.

Of course, the cool weather didn't last for long. It ended around 10 and heat promptly took its place, but I faced it like a trooper. Dehydration and all. I feel that with all this sudden change in weather, i should be sick by now, but my immune system is pulling a double shift and kicking sick's ass. I give it until October until I'm making a post from my sick bed with my rose printed sheets comically wrapped around me like a depressed burrito. Here's to weather changes to come.

I truly cannot wait for a change in weather, mainly for the complete transition from tanks and other lightweight items, to the heavy artillery-- thick jackets, trenches, and more favorited, my sweaters and my wool/tweed blend blazer. I'm literally howling to wear those. Im looking at my credit card and the etro jackets on ebay and im this close |_| to unintentionally typing in my credit card number.

Side Note: I know my credit card number by heart--security code and all. Sad, and I know I am NOT the only person with this disheartening ability.

Glimma Sunday.

Read Article →
When in doubt of what to do on a Sunday, take random pictures. Its a therapeutic output of energy in a non constructive way. Just like sex.

Sunday is usually a day where I just lounge around and do absolutely nothing. I've got a bio test tomorrow and today had been filled with nothing but trips to Walmart, video games, and food. I'll be up until 3am studying and THANK GOD i don't have the test until 1 because I would voluntarily kill myself if it was any earlier. I'm not too much interested in thinking what the weather would be like and i'm even more less intrigued in what the hell to wear. Sunday is a day where thinking about things like that should take place. I don't what the hell I've been dong.

I attend school in Statesboro, Ga which is 45 mins away from Savannah for those who are location whores. There's absolutely nothing here but the school, and it almost like we're in an alternate dimension, where having worth while stores is a fucking sin. This City is infamous for creating a box of absolute paranoia and terror for city kids who are use to buildings that are taller than 20 feet and a place of absolute weather insanity. Usually up until October, its a sweltering cesspool of heat vapors here, but today was unusually cool--borderline 68 degrees, cloudy, and my phone also said that there would be rain today. i was in complete shock. For it to be under 80, let alone 90 degrees here and it not be october is heaven sent, and i took advantage of it. I pulled out my Urban Outfitter color blocked hoodie i picked up a couple weeks ago. It gives me that 90's nauticaXtommy hilfiger vibe and it fit perfectly for this pre-seattle weather. Thrown together with a pair of rolled slouch jeans and boots, and paired with my rainy playlist on my iPod made for my own personal up north lazy day outfit.

There's no rain  here yet, but I'm holding onto my hopes to have a religious experience of Kurt Cobain possessing me for a few seconds. I need to have something interesting happen today, no?
