I love reading GQ Korea. The photo spreads are always so compelling and beautiful. The articles, after translation are usually very fun and informative. I just need to find somewhere around here I can actually buy the physical form. Reading them will be impossibly, but the pictures will be worth it. Here's a couple of pictures from the spread from this month's issue with Korean pop group, INFINITE.
Thief.
I have "stolen" so many items of clothing and accessories from different family members, that i'm afraid if we ever have a family reunion, i'll be stripped naked on the spot.
My briefcase is from my Uncle. It was his apart of his uniform when he was in school in Africa. Its crazy carrying a bag that's two times my age and see it in such a good condition. I feel like im carrying around a piece of history.
The necklace is my grandmother's, and she recieved it from a Ghanaian woman who made it for her. Its extremely heavy for a necklace, but so beautiful. One day i'll come across some items that my offspring can steal from me. Just dont let me find out they took it.

Even The Ugliest Ones.
Style is a completely imaginative replication of one's self. Not only that, its the creation of the various emotions you feel on a day-to-day basis.
Today, I felt unorthodox and ugly.
Now, when I say ugly I don't mean in the aesthetic way. Im speaking in the terms, of a inner mood and feeling. The weather today was ferocious, and more cumbersome , it decided to switch from hot at noon to freezing by 2. Not a fun day at all when you add in an exam in Biology to the mix.
I decided that with an ugly day and ugly outlook on the day should come an ugly outfit. I personally love ugly outfits. I'll rephrase this: I love outfits that follow no set theme or ideal flow. Outfits with random pieces melded together tastefully always catch my eye and bring forth the creation of a story.
I never could really find a use for the shirt with the abstract slashes of graffiti until today. I couldnt be more happier with this ugly outcome.
Do you have any "ugly" outfits?
We Found Love.
Here's Rihanna's new video for her latest single off her new cd slated to hit stores NOVEMBER 22nd, "We Found Love"
HM x VERSACE.
For months, there has been talk of DonatellaVersace and the legendary line,Versace, being the next collaborator with H&M! With the collection release coming up next month, ads and previews of the lookbook having been literally popping up everywhere.
Are you ready for it, cause I sure as hell am! There's even houseware, which is big, because this is the first time a H&M collaborator has included house items (think pillows, sheets, etc).
The US & Canada release with be November 19th. 300 stores worldwide will be getting it, and it seems that Donatella has designed a collection to be released January 19th, 2012 for online H&M sales. I will be buying a couple pieces, pillows and all.
Alteration.
I've had this (obviously) faux fur coat in my closet for the about two winters now, and just today i happen to come across it and ponder why I never wear it. After trying it on, I understood why: Around the arms its really tight and when i move i look like a yeti. Not cute. Another problem with it is that as a coat, i could find a way to have it compliment my style, soooo I deicded to make an "alteration".
It actually was more like a dismemberment, but I got the same results. After about 10 minutes of cutting and unexpected (but obvious) fur flying EVERYWHERE, I ended up with a faux fur vest, which is a big statement piece for this fall/winter. I through it on with my otherwise, boring outfit for a little touch of attention.
Fox Tail.
These are a couple pics I took from Monday. Its officially October, which in my book, equals Autumn. Im already formulating my Fall obsessions and whatever else my brain can come up with. I know I want a pair of Jeffery Campbell Booties.
Yes. I want a pair of Jeffery Campbell shoes and im aware that they will make me 6'4 and i have come to terms with that. What I'm most daftly afraid of is the steps and hills I may encounter. I also am lusting over fox tails and such. They are the new hot piece for the Fall/Winter and im slowly seeing it peek and perforate its way into wardrobes all over.
I only have two but im ordering and shopping around for more and I'm looking for only the largest and plushiest, which means more money spent. Well worth it. I wore my UO burgundy track jacket, black Levi's, favorite pair of boots, and Zara Striped sweartershirt. For accessories, I got creative and clipped my Fox tail keychain onto a necklace. Im thinking of turing one of them into a necklace, idk yet...
Oh yeah, I also wore a vintage-esque ring I found in my grandmother's room. Score!

I finally go to take my wolf watermark sleeveless shirt from ASOS out for a spin. From the moment I opened the package and pulled it out with its warehouse smell, i've been in love with it. It fits perfectly and its light and airy, which is perfect for the spring. This works out too, cause the Spring is the next time i'll be wearing this, sad to say. I like to do seasonal shopping at least two season ahead for two reasons: 1. Stuff's waaaay cheaper when you buy it out of season and easier to come by. 2. It gives me time to figure out exactly what I want to do with the pieces and allows me to mix them with pieces for the current season-- a la, my style.
I wore it with my fav boots, BDG jeans, and some random accessories. Fun tadbit, That belt is actually the bottom of one of my tank tops I cut off because it was too long. When DIY goes right. Im desperately in need to find somewhere around here to satisfy my augmenting need for shoes. Fall/Winter are knocking on the door and i refuse to answer without a new pair of boots...or two. My hands my get cold. Im also looking into networking with a couple of bloggers around (some really close friends and such) and run some interviews and see what makes them (and their craft) tick. Sounds fun right?
