I've Been Following That Unicorn For 2 Weeks.

You ever had those days were you thought it was going to be a day off from everything were you can just rest and enjoy the pleasure of laying in bed with bad movies, empty calories from junk food, and little to no clothes?...But the whole day is nothing but work and running around, leaving you tired and exhausted? Yeah, well that day for me has been stretched out into two weeks. No don't get me wrong, the night i got back to Atlanta, I partied that night, and I partied HARD. I came back home at 6 something with only half my necklace and no shoes one, smelling like alcohol and ciggies. Great night, and I've had about 3 other nights like that, but i've been swamped with work and getting my shit situated for the next year of school. Many of you might not know but i write for a magazine, The S Magazine, and I greatly enjoy working for them. I recently got promoted  to Fashion Director, which gives me a bigger role (yay) and more responsibility (poo). I still enjoy every moment of it, and love the work. Now this isn't the only thing I've been time consumed with, and now im going to list everything that i've been doing since last post.
1. Partying every chance I get. No need to be a recluse AND swamped in work. Thats suicide
2. Dying of heat in my house. Apparently, the AC doesn't like me.
3. Online shopping cause its too hot to go and shop with human contact.
4. I bought Lady Gaga's "Born This Way" so I've pretty much been blasting that for a week straight. Seriously, I haven't listened to any other music beside that. Its a fucking masterpiece.
5. Dealing with cravings for food from all my favorite restaurants and  guilty pleasure from when i was  unable to get them at school. I'm a fat little pigglet now. And proud.
6. Learning how to wield a MAC brush and darken my eyebrows. Eh
7. Listen to Born This Way over and over and over and over again. Yes, I  listed it twice. I'll deny any stan-like association in a heartbeat.
8. Feeding my new found addiction to Peanut Butter. Its an awesome late night snack and its sooo creamy, and I need something to calm my sexual frustrations.
9. Prostituting. (Obviously lying....i hope its obvious)
10. Working on the Magazine and putting stuff together for the June and July Issue.
11. Making a workout plan for myself. Running mountains is the first thing that came to mind. I hate myself apparently.
12. Building contacts and working On what content will go on my blog and how I can attract more attention. Everything I do, I do with my blog and its readers in mind, it is my baby you know.
13. Wearing the most revealing outfits I have, at night of course. I guess that makes #9 a little harder to not believe.
I have some free time now and I plan to use it for the blog and update the contents and focus on getting it where I think it should be as far as conveying my ideas. Hard work, plain and simple.

Would you walk this at night? Mind you, its surrounded by a forest of trees and its over a creek. Sigh, the things I do to eat.

I hate waiting until 10 mins before everything closes to go use my meal plan for school.

Mala Noche.

Read Article →
After packing for seemed to be hours and hours of relentless dust clouds in my face and rediscovering lost socks and shirts from various place in my dorm room, I took a break and decided to catch up on some Netflix which is fucking heaven sent for the bored and (or) lonely. After scrolling for a  surprisingly short amount of time i came across, Mala Noche, a movie shot in Black and White, 16mm, I think, about a store clerk how has a crush on a mexican immigrant boy who comes around the neighborhood. This movie not only satisfied my pre-established boredom but increased my inspiration in a new moving trend for spring, Black.

This spring Black clothing is in, and its mainly for like a rocker look, but I im inspired for a Black, Americana-grunge style mixture. 2011's take on flannel shirts and different blends of denim. I know this sounds like a homage to 90's, almost like a psychopathic declaration of vengeance for the Kurt Cobain meet Levi's Store movement. No, its not. I only take the images of mixing dark jeans with cowboy boots or any loosely western inspired boots. Modern flannel shirts and Denim Shirts for an updated look, so your not stuck too much in the past. The look this spring, for me at least, is a slight return to the rugged male prostitute look. While the rest of the men's fashion world is indulging in the Polo-esque 50's Americana, I think i'll go the way of the Marlboro-esque 50's Americana. Whats your inspiration?

Amazing Grace.

Read Article →

First off, Happy Mother's Day! Secondly, my birthday was yesterday and I had an absolute ball getting drunk and running around the dorms and crashing into the walls like bumper cars. Extremely fun. Now its time to get busy studying for finals, and I'm in a lazy mood. Finals week is always the worst, mostly because I don't study. For anything. Ever. So when I'm asked to study continuously for hours-- even days-- I tend to put it off until the last moments or just do it right then with an evil aura emanating from me. All this is in reference to me watching "The September Issue" while I was suppose to be studying. I absolutely love that documentary and the behind the scenes grittiness of it. Its about Vogue Magazine, Fashion's foremost influential and recognizable print, and the work and drama that goes into putting a very special issue together, The September issue. After watching I got inspired to go and look up the movie's leadinG protagonist, Grace Coddington.

Now, I'm not saying look up like see what she looks like and see what's occupation , because I've known who the genius was for almost half of my life, And she is beyond amazing. I mean look up, in the sense of study her work and get a feel for what inspires her and her skills at work. If you don't know who the talented Miss Coddington is you are missing out, and if you are in fashion, then you should be killed.

Judas.

Here's Gaga's video for her new song "Judas".

I absolutely love it and as usual Gaga did not fail to deliver. The video gives me a "mexican-americana couture church service" vibe. I will be attempting to make something inspired from this.

December Turban Part II (May Edition, The 100th Post)

Read Article →
This is my 100th post!!!! The blog has come a long way and it hasn't even been a year yet! Im going to continue to expand and nurture my offspring into something great. I can wait to see what the blog will be like when it comes to the 1000th post!!!

I need to invest in buying turbans or scarves and wrapping them up into turbans (like I've been doing). They look nice on me and I feel like they'll lead me into a style change which is always fun. What new item(s) will you be adding to your wardrobe?

I'll Sit Systematically Between Decisions.

Read Article →
This is the last week of school and im beyond ready to head back home. One part of me wants to rest, and the other part wants to  focus on turning this summer into one filled with meeting new people, going to parties every night, getting my face out there and work on my connections. Neither one of them will be easy.

If I decide to stay in this Summer, I'll most likely miss key opportunities to get myself out there and open doors. Also I'll run out of shit to do, and be bored out of my mind. Obviously it will be hard to go out and but myself and my ideas o the front staged for them to be judged and critiqued, good and bad.  It
will ultimately depend on what i want to nurture more over the break, my well-being physically or socially.
